What it supports

Four reasons to make it part of your day.

Strong, healthy bones*Absorb calcium, then build it in

Vitamin D3 helps your body absorb calcium and phosphorus, the minerals your bones are built from. Vitamin K2 then activates osteocalcin, a protein that helps bind that calcium into bone. Each capsule adds 210 mg of calcium to what you get from food.*

Supported byVitamin D3 125 mcgVitamin K2 100 mcgCalcium 210 mg
Heart & circulation*Calcium in your bones, not your arteries

Vitamin K2 activates matrix Gla protein (MGP), which helps keep calcium from settling in soft tissues such as artery walls. That is why D3 and K2 work as a pair: D3 helps you absorb calcium, K2 helps send it to your bones. Together they support healthy, flexible arteries and normal circulation.*

Normal blood clotting*Vitamin K’s everyday job

Your body needs vitamin K to make prothrombin and other proteins involved in normal blood clotting. It is one of the oldest-known roles of this vitamin.*

Taking a blood thinner such as warfarin? Vitamin K can change how it works. Talk to your doctor before you start.

Supported byVitamin K2 100 mcg
Mood & immune support*Your sunshine vitamin, all year

Vitamin D3 supports normal immune function and may help support a balanced mood, especially in the colder months when there is less sunlight to make it naturally.*

Vitamin K2 · Bone density

16 trials, more than 6,400 postmenopausal women.

Pooling randomized trials, researchers found vitamin K2 improved bone mineral density at the lower spine, especially when combined with vitamin D or calcium. No significant change was seen at the hip.

6,425 postmenopausal women
Daily dose

MK-7 · Bone loss

Slower bone loss over three years.

Healthy postmenopausal women taking MK-7 daily lost less bone density at the lower spine and hip neck than with placebo, with better bone-strength scores. No difference at the total hip.

Who
244 healthy postmenopausal women
Daily dose
180 mcg MK-7
Length
3 years, placebo-controlled

Vitamin D · Immune function

More than a bone vitamin.

This review describes how vitamin D works with both the innate and adaptive immune systems, and why the authors recommend keeping blood vitamin D at adequate levels. Trial results on supplementation are mixed.

Calcium · Blood pressure

A small effect on blood pressure.

Across trials in about 3,100 people with normal blood pressure, extra calcium lowered blood pressure slightly (about 1.4 mmHg). The effect was larger at intakes of 1,000 mg a day or more.

Vitamin K2 · Calcium balance

Promising, with more trials needed.

Questions, answered

Why vitamin D3 and K2 together?

D3 helps your body absorb calcium. K2 activates the proteins that help bind that calcium into bone and keep it out of soft tissues like artery walls. One brings calcium in, the other helps send it where it belongs.*

How long does one bottle last?

Each bottle holds 60 capsules. At one capsule twice a day, that’s 30 days.

I take a blood thinner. Can I use it?

Vitamin K can interact with anticoagulants such as warfarin (Coumadin). If you take one, talk to your doctor before you start, and don’t change your vitamin K intake without their advice.

I already take vitamin D or calcium. Should I combine them?

Each capsule provides 125 mcg (5,000 IU) of vitamin D3 and 210 mg of calcium. Add up what you get from every supplement and multivitamin, and check the total with your doctor or pharmacist.

Can I take it with my other medications?

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start, especially if you take prescription medication or have a known medical condition. Not for use during pregnancy or while nursing without a physician’s advice.

What else is in the capsule?

Only microcrystalline cellulose and a vegetable (hypromellose) capsule. The formula is gluten-free, lactose-free and allergen-free, and manufactured in the USA.
